Streaming film is the way of the future. It is the way of the future, and it will be the way of the future. There is a whole lot of talk nowadays about Internet Video and it being the next “technology bubble” or something. While I am not trying to scare anyone with this, it would behoove us all to take a moment to consider the incredible potential that Video is having on the Internet right now. Consider how much fun it can be to stream video in an internet commercial or as part of your online marketing campaign, because that is truly what Streaming Film is (at least for me).
First of all, if you are looking to use streaming film in any of your online marketing efforts, you are going to need to have the proper software. There is currently some bad technology out there in the form of software that freezes up computers, or destroys valuable footage. This is the kind of stuff that makes people wonder if they are wasting their money on anything. Well, if you have the right equipment you can have streaming film to your site without any of those problems. This is the first part of why streaming film is so cool. You don’t have to worry about things going wrong.
In part 2 of this article we will examine what is involved with actually getting your streams flowing. The most important thing that you are going to need is a computer with broadband internet connection. There are several things that you need to do in order to get started with streaming. I’ll briefly go through each one below.
First, if you have the ability to capture these videos using your webcam, then you should try to capture your episodes 1 & 2 on your PC before transferring them onto a server and getting the video editing program of your choice to convert them to streaming format. I recommend shooting your videos using Camtasia and exporting them using Wavelab 5. If you are using a PC that does not have a good video card yet streaming film, then you may want to upgrade it before you continue.
Second, if you are going to be transferring your videos onto a server, then it is very important that you download a video codec such as proprietary codec. This will greatly speed up the transfer time of your videos while reducing the possibility of loss or distortion. In addition to the codec, it is also important that you find an appropriate streaming film studio to work with. This is very important in order to make sure that your streaming film will deliver the highest quality possible since studios tend to focus on different things when it comes to creating streaming films.
Third, the last step is to actually copy your videos onto a disk and then transfer them over to a DVD player. Before doing so, it is important that you read the instructions on how to do this on the website of the film streaming service you will be using in order to avoid any complications. Once you are ready to burn the movie, you can either use burning software such as DVD maker or by connecting your computer to your TV using a remote control. If your computer does not already have DVD burning software installed, then you will want to look into one in order to easily burn your files.
The fourth and final step is simply to connect your film streaming server to your TV. At this point, all you need to do is to follow the on screen instructions provided by your streaming film company in order to complete the rest of the process. Once the server has been successfully connected to your television set, then all you have to do is to start enjoying your favorite movies right from home! This may seem like a very easy process, but in reality it is not always as simple as it seems, especially if you have never done it before.
The final step is probably the easiest part of the whole process – uploading your videos to your server. This can be done in two ways. First, you can upload your entire library directly to the server. Second, you can also create individual episodes of your movies. You will need to find your movie’s episode number in order to be able to do this, and then follow the easy to follow instructions provided. Even though this step is not necessary, it is definitely an important part of streaming film and an important consideration if you want to ensure high quality picture and sound.
